Did you know that less than 20% of teens report that they have been tested for HIV? That more than 50% of the new HIV infections yearly are in persons under 25? To address the severe inadequacies in HIV/AIDS youth prevention programs, the Flowers Heritage Foundation introduced the "Don’t Turn Your Back on AIDS" Awareness through Art competition. The program provides an interactive environment where high school students learn the imperative information regarding HIV risk and prevention. Nearly 240 students from 15 Bay Area high schools participated this year, creatively interpreting their views of the disease through artistic expression. Please feel free to browse and purchase images of the students' powerful and inspiring artworks. 100% of your donation will benefit the Flowers Heritage Foundation's "Don't Turn Your Back on AIDS" program.
